In the mid to late 90s, I started getting into grunge and hard rock, I also heard a handful of Metallica and Megadeth songs that I liked. I grew up listening to classic rock with my parents and I always enjoyed harder, more energetic forms of music. (FYI, I’m not calling MCR “heavy metal”, I’m just saying without them I probably wouldn’t have gotten into heavy metal) So please do give suggestions on what else to listen to. I’m very open to new suggestions though as I don’t have much Metalcore and Heavy Metal music since I’ve only just recently gotten into it more. fast forward to now I found MORE heavy metal music like Architects, Bad Omens, Korn, BLESSTHEFALL, Vein.fm, Slipknot, Melted Bodies, and you get the idea. Eventually I went through their catalog with There Is A Hell being my favourite album of theirs.

I never thought I’d find myself enjoying heavy styles of music but I guess it just tickled my brain the right way, anyways eventually I found Bring Me The Horizon’s newest EP POST HUMAN 1 soon after through YUNGBLUD which quickly became my newest obsession, playing on repeat for the next month or two. I personally NEVER liked music with too much screaming or chaos in it for basically my whole life up until around 16 when I listened to (bear with me here cuz I know some people REALLY don’t like them) My Chemical Romance’s debut album I Brought You My Bullets which definitely has some heavier elements to it. I find it interesting to hear people’s “journey” through their music taste.
